Karen Warner & Associates is a coaching and consulting firm with a focus on strategic business and executive development. In partnership with the consulting and advisory firm, Kurtzman Group, KWA is dedicated to helping companies improve their performance and visibility in the marketplace by harnessing the power of thought leadership, innovation, great ideas, and people.

Karen has spent 27 years in corporate settings, holding management and executive positions in Product Management, Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Strategic Planning. In these roles, Karen has worked with some of the finest strategy and marketing groups in the world, including American Express and IBM. Before forming KWA, Karen served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Atlas Venture, in the private equity arena.

Karen currently provides consulting and executive coaching services to high-profile and top-performing leaders in the high tech, services and entertainment industries. Clients and companies that Karen has worked with include: Microsoft, IBM, ARAMARK Corporation, Los Angeles Unified School District and law firm Littler Mendelson. She has recently provided business and consulting services for the release of Paramount Picture’s War of the Worlds and Mission: Impossible 3.

In addition to a Bachelors degree, on-the-job education, and extensive business reading, Karen has studied international marketing in the Marketing Management program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.

The pro bono aspect of Karen’s practice includes one-on-one coaching with widows who became heads of household as a result of the events of 9/11.

Ginny Devine is a senior executive coach and an acknowledged expert in the area of workforce effectiveness, especially in developing individuals and teams to achieve breakthrough results. She consults on organizational processes, policies, and programs, as well as coaching leadership through change. Ginny has guided organizations and their leadership through growth, mergers, redesigns, leadership succession, compliance issues, and downsizings. She consults with large and small companies in aligning the work of human resources with corporate strategies, ensuring that clients realize maximum efficiencies and benefits from their workforce investments.

The past sixteen years of Ginny's career have been in human resources, with emphasis on workforce policies, practices, and processes; management and leadership development; and strategic business partnerships. A special area of expertise is her skill in coaching clients to enable attainment of exceptional performance. Ginny is noted for her strong commitment to producing results and excels in creating learning environments that ensure her clients sustain the changes that result from her work.

Ginny holds a BA with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado. She is currently affiliated with Fairleigh Dickinson University, College at Florham, in Madison, NJ where she provides career transition support and coaching to graduate students and alumni. Additionally Ginny is certified in Leadership in Action Change Management, a faculty member for the Human Resources Policy Association and a former member of the CNJ Board of Directors, INROADS, Inc.

Sharon Dougherty, LCSW, is a senior executive coach and the CEO of Priority Coaching, an executive coaching firm she founded in 1998.

For the past eight years, Sharon has helped leaders achieve personal and organizational transformations that have led to winning business results. Sharon works with leaders to enhance their strengths; to clarify their intent and message; to communicate their vision and goals; to build and maintain relationships; and to articulate and produce desired outcomes. It is Sharon’s belief that leaders who are passionate about their work and engaged with their colleagues will foster healthy workplaces with significant business results.

In addition to Executive Coaching and New Leader Coaching, Sharon delivers a portfolio of programs to corporations and healthcare systems that includes Navigating Change, Personal Leadership Styles and Values, Leadership, Team Renewal, and Winning Through Customer Service. Having built and run a successful nationwide company, Sharon is familiar with the challenges posed for executives operating in ever changing work environments with intense competition in the marketplace. This experience makes her an invaluable resource for managers and executives. Sharon’s client list includes BMW, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, MetLife, MTV, and the Princeton HealthCare System. Her training clients have included JP Morgan Chase; SONY; and the Saint Barnabas HealthCare System.

Sharon has appeared both on television and on radio. Her work has been featured in both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Georgetown University and a M.S.W. from Catholic University.

Joel Kurtzman is Chairman of Kurtzman Group, a consulting and advisory firm dedicated to helping companies improve their performance and visibility in the marketplace by harnessing the power of thought leadership, innovation and talent.

Kurtzman Group clients include Fortune 500, companies, including Microsoft. Joel recently published his 19th book, Startups That Work, based on his study of successful, venture-funded companies. In fall 2007, Global Edge, his newest book, will be published by Harvard Business School Press. Joel was Global Lead Partner for Thought Leadership and Innovation at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He was responsible for developing new ideas in such areas as strategy, technology, the capital markets, the New Economy, metrics and business policy. He developed the Opacity Index, which tracks the cost of business risks globally and Paths to Value, which examines how value is created in early stage companies. He is a former editor of both the Harvard Business Review and the New York Times.

Laura Barker Morse is Human Capital Partner for Atlas Venture. She works closely with portfolio companies on strategic human capital issues including recruitment, development, and reward systems and acts as a firm liaison with consultants and preferred providers of recruitment, compensation, and human resources.

Prior to joining Atlas Venture, Laura worked in Brussels for SWIFT, the global financial telecommunications consortium, where she reported to the CEO during a strategic reorganization and led worldwide recruiting and expatriate services. Beginning her career with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Laura spent twenty years in technology executive search with Russell Reynolds and Heidrick & Struggles. Laura is a frequent speaker on team building and career planning at leading business schools including Solvay (Belgium), Harvard Business School and MIT/Sloan. Laura served for ten years as a Trustee of The Computer Museum, is a member of the Lank Center Visiting Committee at Dana Farber, and is an Overseer of the Boston Museum of Science.

Mary Anne Walk is President of Walk & Associates, an executive development firm. Her expertise is executive coaching and corporate strategy. Mary Anne has her Masters Degree from M.I.T. She served as a corporate officer and was a senior HR leader at AT&T. Her extensive experience includes human resources planning, management succession and development, recruiting and staffing, performance management, organization and job design, and labor relations.
